Five hundred dollars’ worth of plants are on their way to Waterloo Road from the very generous Holden Arboretum, to be inserted with loving care into beds and planters along the street on Saturday, May 30, 12-4. If you’d like to lend a hand, call Amy at 216-692-9500 or a.callahan@artscollinwood.org, or just turn up.
No special gardening knowledge needed: the Holden plants come accompanied by Holden instructions, and the Lakeshore/Collinwood Garden Club will be on hand.
Meanwhile, the artists working on the first of the Waterloo Walls murals will be raising their brushes, and nongardening volunteers will be sweeping and tidying – Waterloo is going to look quite wonderful.
