We need Volunteers! Go to our Sign-up form to join the fun. And check out the opportunities below.

Gallery Volunteers Needed

We have immediate need for volunteers to ‘baby-sit’ the Gallery. Please e-mail us if you can donate a few hours to help out.

Photographers/Videographers Needed

We’re looking for photographer & videographers to document our great events for our website. If you’re interested, please contact Meredith Pangrace, Trustee.

Working Volunteers Needed

We really need just YOUR skills. None too old, few too young. We need drivers for field visits, helpers for classes and ushers for events. We also need envelope stuffers, messengers and clerical. Also sturdy souls for rehab work on our building. None too strong, few too weak. We have the tools — such as hammers and brooms. Please e-mail us if you can donate a few hours to help out.

Volunteer Recognition

Some volunteers we’d like recognize for the enormous contributions they’ve made to AC:

The Gallery Committee lost two valuable resources this year.  Nancy Prudic, who for many years served as a trustee and as Gallery Committee Chair, stepped down in 2008.  We wish her every success with her expanded role at Lake Erie College.

Mike Mikula also has to defer his work with AC Gallery for his artwork, and we wish him the very best.  Without him, we would never have created the Weekends on Waterloo Gallery Sale, and he’ll be much missed.  Thanks to the work of these two seminal members, the Gallery has grown to be a recognized venue on Cleveland’s art scene – we’re really proud of all you did, and look forward to continuing that good work.

Kathy Baker, who served for several years on the Arts Collinwood board, went on until just recently coordinating all of our volunteers for the gallery and other events.  This exhibit is the last one she’ll coordinate sitters for, and we couldn’t possibly have survived without her. We’re very glad she’ll continue to contribute her wisdom to those taking on her tasks.

One of our founding board members, and an incredibly active part of our community, is wrapping up her final year as an Arts Collinwood trustee.  This will be Nan Kennedy’s last meeting representing our Board, and we owe her a huge vote of thanks for all the many programs and events she initiated, oversaw and otherwise inspired – from our summer arts camp to the benefit for our new community center and everything in between.

And while we’re thanking Nan, we also want to express a special debt of gratitude to Miles Kennedy, for contributions to the cause that went above and beyond.  Miles has been a stalwart Arts Collinwood supporter from the very beginning, has literally helped to build this center.  He’s already been recognized as Ward 11’s Senior of the Year, but we want to thank him personally.  He and Nan have meant an incredible amount to this organization.

A round of applause to all of the volunteers who make Arts collinwood’s work possible.  We couldn’t do it without you, and we appreciate your contributions every day.
