Bridget Caswell, President

Bridget Caswell is currently an Imaging Technology Specialist at NASA Glenn Research Center. Bridget has worked as a professional photojournalist in Northeast Ohio for over ten years, working for newspapers, such as the News Herald, The Morning Journal and the Medina Gazette. As well as working for American Greetings as a photographer, she ran a successful freelance business, with clients such as Northern Ohio Live magazine and Cleveland Magazine. She was the house photographer for the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, were she contributed photography to a book on the Gardens. Her work has appeared in the New York Times and the London Daily Telegraph. Caswell also has exhibited her photographic work. She received her bachelor’s degree in photojournalism at Kent State University. As President of the board of Arts Collinwood, Bridget hopes to enhance an already thriving organization with her enthusiasm and help to further our goals of continuing to make Arts Collinwood a place where people feel they can express themselves creatively.

Frances Hunter,  Vice President and Secretary

Frances Hunter served as the Coordinator of Internships & Graduate Assistantships at Cleveland State University, Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs since 1996 until her retirement in 2008. She is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley and Cleveland State University. She has broad experience across many categories including neighborhood and organizational development. While there, she created nationally recognized programs in student recruitment and diversity, and also served as an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Urban Affairs. She was a 14 year –Board Trustee for the Cleveland Public Library and a trustee for Northeast Shores Development Corporation and the Cleveland Housing Network. She presently serves on the Neighborhood Connections, Grant Making and Monitoring Committee.  Her areas of interest are board development, governance and programs.

cindyCindy Barber

As former Editor of the Free Times and current owner of the Beachland Ballroom, Cindy’s roots in Cleveland’s cultural scene are long established. She’s also a long-term resident and activist in North Collinwood, where she chairs the board of Northeast Shores Development Corporation and leads its Economic Restructuring committee. Cindy contributes her expertise to fundraising, marketing, the creation of new performance series and development of Arts Collinwood’s new building.

dan1Dan Bode

As Director of Global Research for ICI Paints, Dan has honed his management expertise. As a musician, he’s honed his vocals and harmonica skills in formats ranging from garage, rockabilly, blues, R&B, funk, jazz, free improvisation, experimental, spoken word, and sound tracks to silent films and performance art. Dan is also a resident of North Collinwood and active in the local community.

maryMary Green

An arts educator and graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, Mary has worked and exhibited locally for many years. She is particularly interested in utilizing her expertise in working with students to enhance and expand Arts Collinwood’s educational and family programs. Mary is currently the chair of Arts Collinwood Program Advisory Committee, which directs and coordinates the classes being offered in the new community center.

mike1Mike Moritz

As an independent artist, Mike Moritz has participated in numerous regional, national and international juried group exhibitions. A diverse artist, he works in any media necessary to translate his ideas including raw materials, video, kinetics, light, sound and found objects.

In 1995 he established Moritz Wood and Metal, a specialty metal fabrication and design studio. Working primarily with architects and designers, he completed numerous private commissions in some of Cleveland’s finest homes. Commercial interior and exterior work includes Public Art sculptures for the Euclid Corridor Project and interior art paneling in downtown Cleveland’s RTA headquarters. He is also a co-founder of groop — a multimedia arts and consulting collaborative established in 2001.

mereMeredith Pangrace

Meredith and her husband  relocated to the North Collinwood neighborhood in 2006 and brought their zeal for community activism with them. Meredith is a well-rounded Art Director for Cleveland design firm Boondock Walker. With over 10 years of experience, Meredith enjoys creating brand marketing materials for print, publishing, web, and interactive media. Meredith applies her considerable design skills and connections to managing Arts Collinwood’s marketing efforts.

Nancy Kennedy, Advisory Committee Chair

A retired editor and 20-year Collinwood resident, Nan has experience as head of the Collinwood Volunteer Coalition, a member of the Ecumenical Senior Ministries board and founder of the Collinwood Garden Club, as well as teaching the after-school writing program at St. Jerome’s. Nan chairs the Education and Outreach committee and has been instrumental in producing community programming for families and children, and working in collaboration with the schools.
